When (some decades ago) his mother pushed him to go and play with the other kids at the basketball court, it never crossed his mind that there he would find the timeless love of his life, the basket ball. Some people looked far away in the future and led him from the age of 18 in coaching. He was so fascinated by the involvement with the children that he never looked back ever since. Hermes Piraeus (1988-89, 1992-94), Proodeftiki (1996-99), Peiraikos (1999-2004), Kerkyraikos (2006-2016), Pegasus South Corfu (2015-).

After so many years of service in the younger ages he claims to have seen everything. He also claims that he remembers each and every one of the athletes he has worked with – which he will allow us to doubt. A mobile encyclopedia of the sport, he has met individual and team distinctions, but considers the growth of this club, of which he was the inspirer, as the greatest award in his career. Responsible for club’s sport planning, with studies in sports management, his vision is PEGASUS SOUTH CORFU B.C. to become a reference point using Basketball as a vehicle, for education and progress for the youth of the region.

His first coach at Proodeftiki had predicted for the 10-year-old kid that with the hard work and seriousness he showed from a young age, he would become a coach in the future. A child of 1987, he joined many teams from local  to national categories. It didn't take long for the old prediction to come true. Sharer of our vision, with a lot of energy and willingness to offer, we expect him to contribute to the club development.

He was born the year that Greek basketball legend Nikos Galis and his company made the whole nation go wild. Therefore his course was expected. He played for teams in Athens until life brought him back to his place of origin. His experiences and mentality for the sport immediately connected with ours. A little wild in appearance, we worried about how he would fit in with our "babies", the youngest ages that we trusted him with. However, his love and willingness to offer quickly made him very popular amongst our little ones who feel warmth and security near him.

He goes by the nickname Mike in our older ages, whose players feel him very close to them, perhaps because he has not yet "killed" the player inside him. He actively participates in the club’s sport planning and his vision is to play next to older children of our academy in the upcoming men's championships of our union. Besides, he already holds the title of the scorer of the first basket in the history of the men's section of our Club, in March 2020 for the championship of the 3rd ESKAVDE just before the quarantine stopped everything.
